MTV Movie Awards 2016: os vencedores são...

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" dominou os MTV Movie Awards 2016. O filme estava indicado em 11 categorias e venceu em três: "Filme do Ano", "Melhor Vilão" (Adam Driver) e "Desempenho Revelação" (Daisy Ridley).

"Deadpool" estava na corrida às Pipocas Douradas com 8 nomeações e venceu em duas, tantas quantas "Pitch Perfect 2".Já "Straight Outta Compton" ganhou a Pipoca Dourada de "História Verídica" e "Amy" - que estreia em setembro na MTV Portugal - venceu na categoria "Melhor Documentário".

Nas categorias de interpretação Charlize Theron ganhou a Pipoca Dourada de "Melhor Interpretação Feminina", pelo desempenho em "Mad Max: Fury Road", e Leonardo DiCaprio a de "Melhor Interpretação Masculina", por "The Revenant". O "Melhor Desempenho de Comédia" foi de Ryan Reynolds, por "Deadpool" e o "Melhor Desempenho de Ação" o de "Chris Pratt", por "Jurassic World".

Will Smith foi homenageado com o prémio "GERAÇÃO MTV" e Melissa McCarthy com o troféu "Génio da Comédia".

A 25ª edição dos MTV Movie Awards foi apresentada por Dwayne Johnson e Kevin Hart, protagonistas da comédia de ação "Central de Inteligência", que estreia em Portugal a 30 de junho. Ariana Grande e Halsey atuaram ao vivo. A cantora de 'Problem' estreou-se no palco dos MTV Movie Awards com 'Dangerous Woman', e Halsey interpretou pela primeira vez ao vivo a música 'Castle', da banda sonora do filme "The Huntsman: Winter's War".
